It was a lovely sunny day and very hot at Smithills Dog Show on Sunday. We were selling black peas and macaroni cheese. Maybe it was too hot or people only wanted food for their dogs because we didn't do very well for sales. Thanks everyone who bought something! We'll be back at the Smithills Hall Garden party in July which is a much bigger event.
We were at New Higham yesterday for the May Fair. It didn't rain but there was a cold wind, so we didn't sell too many ice creams. It was a little quieter than usual but still a good day, and I always enjoy going there. Sadly the ferrets were only on the Saturday so we didn't get to see them.
We had a very good market at Romiley this month. Thanks everyone who came along! We sold a lot of Lancashire cheese and all our macaroni cheese. The bakes were a bit slower than normal but never mind, we can sell them at our other markets over this bank holiday weekend. We'll be back next month!
It was lovely and sunny at Hoghton Tower today for the Easter market. We were selling soup, black peas and ice cream. We did very well on the soup but not much ice cream considering it was so hot and nice. Never mind, it was a very good day anyhow, thank everyone! Next month we will have more flavours of the ice cream.
It was cold and windy for the Cuerden Valley Easter Market but we had a good day in the end after a slow slightly worrying start. I had forgot that people don't want soup and black peas for breakfast, they want them for dinner. We were selling soup, black peas and ice cream. There was a decent crowd and things to do, so it was cool. Thanks everyone!
We were back for the first Droylsden Market of the year today. It was sunny at first but cold and got very windy later on. We had a reasonable day until the weather got nasty at the end. We'll be back next month. We were selling Lancashire cheese and cheese and potato bakes.
It was the first Haughton Green market of the year today. Its a nice market on the village green. We were selling cheese, cheese and potato bakes and ice cream and we did well on all of them. Thanks everyone, the market is on every two months this year so we'll try and do them all.
